Ideas to make money go further for Dad

My Dad is in his early 60s and semi-retired. For Christmas I would like to buy him some items which help with parents budget. (I have mums present already).
A couple of months ago, following a post elsewhere on here I bought my DH this and he says it works, so I'm going to get Dad one.http://www.razorpit.com/ . This is the type of thing I'm looking for where an initial outlay will save in the long run.
Dad is notoriously difficult to buy for, even my mum struggles. He has no interest in cooking (and wouldn't be persuaded). His hobby is clay pigeon shooting - something I find pretty much impossible to buy for. He works as a school bus driver for a Special Needs school.
My budget is around £35ish in total
Ideas anyone?

U could make a shaving hamper for him, if I read that right it was a blade sharpener, so may e the razor to go with, if he doesn't have it. A shaving brush, foam/gel, aftershave, a hand towel.
I have no idea how much that would come upto, but if theres money left over you could maybe look at expanding the hamper and including bath/shower products and maybe a dressing gown if the budget would allow?Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -
I like that idea. I bought him aftershave last year after getting stumped as Mum said he'd run out and he wears it regularly -any stuff, cheap or dear but this expands the idea and compliments my other gift. It's a device to keep your razor sharp. Husband has one and says it has prolonged the life of his blades.0

cheers for the recommendation Spendless, sounds like a fab idea for OH (who needs shares in Gilette, given that he shaves his entire head). Which model does you DH have?know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

I agree with DH that it works. He didn't notice that I'd used his razor to shave my legs.:shhh: :rotfl:0 -
possibly a hamper filed with the things he uses throughout the year? I think someone on the hampers thread called it a favourite things hamper. or a shaving hamper if you look on the hampers thread last page there is someone doing a shaving hamper so you may get some ideas from there0

I've remembered since, I picked up a pack of microfibres brushes to wash his car with. He's always washed his and my mums car by hand. I did all the car cleaning products, like polish a couple of years back.
I could kick myself for not getting round to subscribing to the weekly newspaper as not only is it cheaper to buy that way, they were offerring a £10 frankie and benny voucher, and I know he and mum eat in there sometimes.
I think which way I go will very much depend on what promotions and offers I find between now and Christmas. If Boots do another voucher for no7 making their ridiculously priced shaving gel a couple of quid I'll be getting it.0
