Could you explain what you mean by this sentence?
We are very good a measuring and putting a value on mathematical and logical reasoning, and literacy and comprehension through our exam system. We are not so good as a society at measuring other forms of intelligence that people may excell at, for example musical, creative or social abilities, understanding social situations and dealing with people (eg a caregiver may be very intelligent in this area because they can empathise well). Personal and social intelligence's are a recognition that we have other skills and a reminder to value those and not just the measurable 'exam' based ones.
I'm assuming this is what mellie1980 means, for the OP is would be a reminder that one D grade, whilst important in her career path is not all that life is about and she should also value the other skills and qualities in her life.0 -
wiggywoo, you only fail when you stop trying. Don't give up.0

A point both to WiggyWoo and Teabag...even if primary is where you see yourself -any school experience will help be it primary or high school.....also volunteering withguides, scouts, offering to help at Sunday School, all kinds of activities will help your PGCE applications and ofyen will help you network and find more targetted experience
My son's TA started at the school as a dinner lady -the headmaster noticed she was building a relationship with my son in the playground at lunchtimes ...and when it became clear he needed 1 to 1 support he approached her and offered her the job......and she was excellent..... You just never know where opertunities are until you get out and start networking .I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it as I skimmed the first page.. so apologies if I am repeating someone elses idea.. but.. could you start at the beginning with maths? The basic numeracy levels then try the GCSE again and rope in a friend to help? Or even get a personal tutor, they can be a little pricey but a maths student at the uni might be willing to tutor you for free/reduced cost. My OH would leap at the opportunity to help someone like you who is keen to learn.
There are gcse papers online which you can practise on and the revision guides etc.. You can also get pc discs to work through which greatly helped my children.
I'm sure with you determination you will find some answer.
and a 2:2 isn't bad considering all you've gone through.. ((hugs))LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
