ITV Answer Format

I've noticed that some members are still asking about the correct way to type an answer for the online ITV entry forms.
I received the following reply from ITV after enquiring about the answer format a couple of months ago when they changed the entry forms;
"Thank you for contacting ITV.
I can confirm that now, when entering a competition, you can either enter your answer as A, B or C. Also you can enter your answer as A and then your answer, B and then your answer, C and then your answer.
It does not matter whether you include the punctuation or not when you submit your answer to one of our competitions."

Sadly those asking will rarely search.

28/01/13i emailed itv asking what they would prefer us to write in the answer box when there it a text box to write the answer in, and they replied that they want us to write both the letter and the answer,
ie, a. Up.
I was wondering if anyone had won one of those comps with only writing the letter or answer on their own.
What do you guys do?
05/02/13sorry to bump i emailed itv and asked for further clarity and for them to change the t&c so it states both the answer and letter are needed if that was the case. I was advised that just the letter is fine or the answer or both. No answers are disregarded unless they are incorrect i.e you write c when the answer is actually b.
Im happy to write the answer and letter if needed hell i would be happy to do a naked rain dance if it gave me more chance of winning but they have confirmed just the letter is sufficient.good luck everyone
11/02/13thanks for posting the comp, and sorry for bumping
i received an email from itv just in case anyone has a problem with just entering the letter.

all winning online entry answers are checked. If the answer is for example b) apple and the customer has entered only b or entered only apple these will be accepted as a correct answer.
anything out of the ordinary like spelling mistake or for example the text has a) apple written it will be checked with our interactive team.
