This is Axel Sheffler's favourite of his and Julia Donaldson's books, because the idea came from the toy he'd given The Gruffalo's Child
Julia loved his drawings of her (the Gruffalo's Child) and her toy and they were the inspiration for Stick Man.
I love this book too and we love where the Gruffalo appears! I'm so sad that they're almost too big for it now.They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
