Free Ben & Jerry Cone day update (Merged)

Apparently Ben & Jerry do a Free Cone day. Nothing stated on the Ben & Jerry site. Last year it was 27th of April. They have a free ice cream tour, so does anyone know whether there is a free cone day or do they just do a tour. TIA

Official insert: This year's free cone day is Thursday 19 April. More information and locations can be found on the Ben & Jerry's website.

  • This is my first post, so I hope the link works!

Ben and Jerry's are giving away free icecream all over the country. Click here for all of the venues. Now I've just got to get out of work long enough to get my free cone! ;-D

OK thanks for that - I'll remove that link, seemed to link to the filmworks site when I tried it.

Just released too that they will be raising money for the NSPCC too, I'm doing the same via the Great Manchester Run so support this even more - nothing what so ever to do with the fact that it's giving away free ice cream!

Free Cone Day is back and this year it's taking place on Thursday 19th May. If you want free ice cream then pop along to one of the locations listed below which are all taking part.

    What's It All About?
Free Cone Day was first celebrated back in 1979 in the first Ben & Jerry's scoop shop - a dilapidated gas station in Burlington, Vermont. Ben and Jerry had been scooping ice cream for a year and decided to reward staff and customers in the best way they knew how - by serving up a tasty tub of thanks free to everyone. An instant success, Free Cone Day has now been scooping up free cones for over twenty-five years and has raised tub loads of money for charity too.

This year our staff across the globe were hoping to top last year's legend-dairy effort of giving away over one million scoops (that's enough to cover Big Ben almost 800 times over in length or give the London Eye a dairy wrap one hundred times!).
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
