Dwp Budgeting Loan Pay back or Not?

Hi
It's been just over 7 months since we were made Bankrupt, all has been quiet, no contact from OR since interview. We know that the rules regarding DWP loans etc was changed in March 2012 but we just need someone to clarify if we need to pay back a budgeting loan that we took out in Feb 2011. They didn't send a letter requesting payment until May 2012 and we started paying monthly payments in June 2012. But only managed to pay it for a few months. Then went BR in Jan 2013.
I was told when I claimed ESA in Jan 2013 that they would write to me and start taking the money out of the benefit, so far they haven't wrote to me and haven't taken any payments yet.
Thanks for reading.

Hi,
Yes the Law changed as you suggested in March 2012 so that anyone going bankrupt or in to a DRO after that date would still be responsible for paying social fund debts.
The loan is still payable.
