Home Made Dog Food from Fat?

Hi all
Just getting into this waste not want not and I read a few days ago somewhere on this forum, a recipe for left over fat from roasting meat, flour and some other bits to bake and give to dogs as a very occasional treat.
I have trawelled through the obvious boards but can't find anything. I know these are ideal to use up odd bits and are given maximum one a day due to high fat but my 3 year old terrier x jack russell is full of beans and very skinny so these sounded ideal!
Thanks in advance (apologies if I'm in the wrong place, sure it was somewhere here.... *goes to look under nearby rock*)
Love x
