Seems a little weird, never had anything like it myself!0
-
I think if it were me, I would delete it. Sounds odd to me.0
-
I'd delete it, they are probably checking it's a live account so that they can spam you to death. If it was important, it would have some kind of contextual information.0
-
Personally I wouldn't reply. The likelihood is that is it spam or a scam. Looking for confirmation that if they send you their junk/virus or whatever that you will receive it and be likely to open it.
On the other hand, if it is someone looking for you for a genuine purpose (which I doubt) if you ignore it, they might send more details next time about who they are and what they want.
So I would say you have more to risk by replying than by not replying.

THIS IS ME!
When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.0 -
If you search online, you'll find references to a scam using this and similar email addresses, purporting to be from UK Lottery winners who want to give random strangers some money - of course, all they need is your bank account details, D.O.B. etc etc.0

If it were me, I'd write back and just say 'no it's not'.
:rotfl:
Edit: This is a joke.Herman - MP for all!0 -

I cannot decide if the smiley face means you think it would be funny to actually do this, or if you realise that to do this would be opening yourself up to receiving all sorts of spam and you are being sarcastic.
Anyway, for the avoidance of doubt, please OP do not follow this suggestion.0 -
Oh do lighten up, I would have thought it was fairly obvious I was joking!Herman - MP for all!0

I can't believe the OP would even think about replying - surely a scam as eggs is eggs. Although, I do have a bridge in London for sale if you wish to buy it . :rotfl::rotfl:Thank you all who post.0
