I am after your opinions please
I ordered a limited edition top from a large lady's website and paid £7.95 for special delivery. I received a confirmation on Wednesday to confirm dispatch.
I had not received the goods by Friday so I emailed the company to get a tracking number. I have received the following email reply:
"Thank you for your email.
Our distribution office in the UK is shut for a couple of weeks, (annual holiday),
therefore orders are being sent from here (France). Your order has been sent
out but will take 5-7 days to reach you. So it will be with you shortly."
Do you think I should point out that I paid for Special Delivery and not had the service I paid for?

Most certainly......you have not received the service that you paid for and as such should have at least that portion refunded.
When I had a similar thing happen to me, I complained and not only got the postage back but was given extra items in compensation.I have retired from a career in Financial Services........Thank God. Any advice given may be as a result of senile dementia so dont take it too seriously.......
