County Court Judgement

Not sure if this is the correct place to post. I have a County Court judgement against my ex for £1000. I have never enforced it because I have been ill and also my ex refuses to communicate, respond to letters and has moved so it takes time and money to trace him, I wanted to know if there is a "shelf life" to enforce a judgement (it is 2 years old). If there is a shelf life how do I go about reactivating it. Thanks

You have 6 years to enforce it....no need to reactivate it. Just enforce it as you see fit..and economic. Not sure if this is the correct place to post. Is it worth it...paying more money in the slim hope of getting £1,000. If he has an unpaid CCJ his credit is pretty much trashed now. It's unlikely he will be able to borrow any (at less than 8%) and it's unlikely that he would want to.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

next stage for you is go back to court and obtain a 'Warrant of Execution'; this is necessary to force payment on the judgement and will involve bailiffs.0

Is he employed? do you know where?
If he frequently moves address but continues to work for the same place then an attachment of earnings may be worth considering rather than bailiffs in your case.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
