Disgraceful amount but there is no regulatory position on fees as long as you know about them. As it would have appeared on the mortgage KFI (they key document) it is a bit late to complain about them. Plus, they no longer exist. So, its not as if they can pay you back anything. They used falsed information on my mortgage application to obtain a mortgage for me eg. self cert saying i gained a extra £400 income from selling on ebay which is not true .Is they anything i can do claim againt mis selling
You cannot complain to them. However, you can complain to the FSCS. However, you need to be on guard. If the broker helped you get the mortgage you wanted by telling you to commit mortgage fraud and you agreed to it (which you obviously did) then you are likely to suffer consequences. Once the lender is made aware of your complaint and that you agreed to commit mortgage fraud, they can take action against you. That can range from repossession (as an extreme) down to blacklisting you on the fraud register which would make getting credit again very difficult.
A lot of people told lies in the credit boom years to get loans and mortgages. Most people telling lies knew exactly what they were doing. So, whilst your broker was in the wrong, you were too. You could suffer consequences from your complaint. You need to decide whether you accept those consequences or not. You could get away with making a complaint and suffering no consequences. Or you could be repossessed. They are the two extremes. A blacklisting is most likely. Compensation is possible but you would have been able to get a mortgage truthfully and not using a liar loan. Its a complicated area with many variables and really comes down to what the audit trail shows. There is no compensation for you knowingly doing what you did.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Why did you sign the documents then? Sounds like you were happy enough to make a fraudulent application when it suited you.0
