just a quick query for members to advise on,
I am an nrp and pay maintenance to an ex for my daughter, I am married and have 2 children to my current partner.
I pay csa on the csa 2 system and they take our tax credits into account but are they doing this because I am the one who tax credits are paid to.
Would the csa be able to use the tax credits if they were paid to my wife and tax credit papers showed my wifes name as the recipient ??
thanks.

Tax credits are awarded to a household - what could be a factor would be who is the higher earner in the household.0

Correct - if you earn most, then the tax credits will be deemed to be your income; it doesn't matter who physically gets the money.0
