Having trouble proving deposit origin (Nationwide, Santander & ISAs)

Basically everything is fine apart from the origin of the deposit that i am providing.

The mortgage has been applied through Nationwide. The wife holds an ISA with Nationwide.

She went to the front desk, got a printout of her Flexclusive ISA account, it was stamped, submitted & OK'd.

I went to Santander, got a more professional looking statement (the wife's had the cashier writing over it). It had everything - sort code, account number, balance, last deposit.

Apparently though, it's not acceptable as it's a mini statement. It's only showing deposits as recently as April. Of course though - because i maxed the bloody thing out on the very first day of the current tax year.

I have no proper statement for my Santander ISA as i don't even think Santander have ever provided me with one.

So how do i obtain a 'full' one for this purpose?

  • Phone them and ask how.
An opinion is just that..... An opinion
  • I figured at 7:36pm yesterday, the phone lines would probably be shut or soon closing & i had a lot on yesterday, so thought i'd chance asking here as it's free.

Went into branch today & got a more detailed one, but to get anything more detailed i'll have to send off.

I got my santander ISAs printed at branch they looked quite basic and the cashier stamped and signed them. YBS accepted these, they had previously declined my printed online statements (I don't get paper ones!)

I also requested full statements to be sent out which I recieved about a week later, a few days after my mortgage offer :)
  • That could've been the problem with what they gave me first off - they never stamped it. Got it done this time round though.
