i applied last week some time- does anyone know how long it takes to get the card through? I'm also curious as to whether the old offer will apply or if i will get the nes offer.

I apllied before they downgraded the points reward and just got my card today.

When I spoke to someone to activate the card, they said all they have on file is that I'll receive 2,000 points when I use the card for the first time.

I'm getting confused here

So you have to wait until your second statement from them to receive the 11k points to redeem something? That's how I read it anyway so don't see it as instant?

i applied and there was a number to call to speak about it but i didn't take it down- does anyone have it? i believe it was a freephone number. they said that they would call within 10 days but not heard anything yet so want to see what's happening.

Hi everyone

I applied for this card when it the offer was still 11,000 points. The card has arrived today.

It states you need to use your card to get the free points, does that mean use it for a purchase, or does a balance transfer count? Ive phoned MBNA and they were worse than useless and didnt seem to know.

Ive already transferred a balance, so if I need to do a purchase as well, ill just find the cheapest thing I can find
