Courier company emails

Hi
Does anyone get emails from courier companies saying missed delivery etc & then when they go into tracking in the couriers website it says unknown tracking number? Are these just spam emails or am I doing something wrong? I've had a few of them from supposedly different couriers companies and I've deleted them when no match for the parcel number is found but just wondered if maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Hiya Eledee,
If its the same as the ones I have been getting recently they are 100% scam emails, be careful as many of them have attachments which may be harmful to your computer
If you get anymore I would just delete them personallyJuly 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books
Year to date: £786
Total to date ( Since 2008 ) = £37,345 :eek:0 -
Thanks guys. I thought they were. I don't click on the attachments, just write the tracking number down & go to the site myself. I just wondered as before I got an email from a courier company & this was the first I knew that there was a prize on the way.Nov - organix hamper & £50 tesco voucher

I had one recently supposedly from DHL.
They are definitely scams.0 -
the scam one from DHL say it's from DHL Inc & if you hover over the address it's a gmailproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

I usually get 3-5 missed parcels a day, plus half a dozen different bank security alerts and a paypal problem that needs resolving...
As above, NEVER click on any links, (Sounds as if you're doing the right thing going to the siteMind you, I don't even bother doing that as I think, "How do they know my email, but not my name...?"
!)
