So, as set by KC and ATB the MF date will be December 2016. 20 months to go
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Yeah I know hardly any time at all. I guess I better go for the end of December KC :)
Actually its an average of £2250 a month and I'm not sure I could find that every month, but, heck I'll give it a punt and we'll see where we end up!! Just pull me up short if I try something crazy like spread betting :rotfl:

Also working on financial independence though :) First step taken! It was an easy one. Had the house valued with just the garden, no stables and land.

Working on paying off the mortgage *is* connected to financial independence, watty! Like MMM says, it isn't automatic - if passive income covers your rent, then you're still financially independent. But I think most of us feel more comfortable with FI as "paid-off owner occupier", and I certainly do. Keep going!

I suppose you could always stooze a bit of it if you're struggling to reach the full amount? I know it's a bit of a cheat, but 0% debt is pretty useful on occasion.

I am thinking stoozing might be useful November 2016 :)

Handsome baby went to vets for x-rays. Much improved. Still lame. So was not bones in feet causing problem. Now being referred for MRI. Not sure how much faith I have in vet now :(

On the financials side 2 overpayments made this month and signature updated. Had to cheat a little and take some money from the TSB house repair fund but nothing coming up shortly so think that will be ok. And just realised I miscalculated the overpayment required per month to make Dec 2016 as did not take into account regular payments!

Ouch. Sympathies for Handsome Baby, and for you too, actually.
