While that's true, mine actually is the big lump of a 1200, so he's right enough.

While knowing next to nothing about motorbikes I have to guess that a 1.2L engine on a bike must make it shift a bit.

    Bet that's fun :D

Not really so much for a quick shift, but the BMW 1.2 boxer engine is a fantastic peice of engineering to say the least. It is an adventure style bike.

Put a 1.2 in a supersports (or 1.4 if your on about a ZZR14 or Busa) and your talking a 200+ mph motorbike with a ton of horsepower, however the BMW even tho it still has a big motor has a dam more torque but lower horsepower.

In a nutshell the torque is how hard you hit a brick wall and horsepower is how fast you hit said brick wall...

Dam I have sidetracked on this post! sorry.

With apologies for deraiiling the thread....

It's not actually as fast as the 1 litre "superbikes", but yes, it goes well. 0-100mph in 6 point something seconds, I think.

Day to day, though, I ride a 300cc little scooter. 65mpg, very cheap servicing, very money saving...

It's your thread, I think you are allowed to go off topic if you like

Always preferred 4 wheels but have a passing interest in bikes. My toy (Ocatvia vRS 200bhp) is currently in the garage having it's error code read and I waiting for the phone call to tell me how much it's going to cost me :(

    haha true!.

Do yourself a favor. PLEASE. Get a flaming !!! reader and diagnose the problem yourself. I work in IT in the AutoTrade and error codes or engine management lights are a con, especially when you can pick up a reader for dirt cheap that at-least gives you the ammo to go into the garage and say THIS IS WRONG, fix it! :) or if your brave enough replace the part yourself ;)
