I need to buy quite a lot of maltesers to decorate my wedding cake with - does anyone know where I can get them more cheaply? I've tried poundland/tesco/asda etc they all seem to be £1 for the 146g box - but that'll cost me a fortune!

Sounds like my sort of Wedding cake!! Yum! I would think this is quite unusual, so why not try and be a bit cheeky and write to the makers of Maltesers! Butter them up and ask for a some freebies or gift vouchers! You wont get if you dont ask!!!

What about a Cash and Carry (look in the Yellow Pages or online)?
Do you know anyone (or a friend of a friend) that is a member of Costco? You might be able to get them cheaper there.
The only other thing I can suggest is take a look at price comparison sites fixtureferrets.co.uk (have to join and pay small fee for the best deals) or mysupermarket.co.uk, as supermarkets may be doing BOGOFs or other special deals.
Good luck!!!

That's a great idea! If you do have any luck with them and get some freebies, you'll have to let us know!Girls just want to have funds

Thanks for the ideas!
Wish I'd asked earlier really mandrose cos it's too late now to try contacting the makers cos wedding's a week on Saturday!
Don't think I know anyone who's a member of Costco but I'll ask around. Had thought of trying cash and carry like you suggested roxy but don't you have to be a member or be able to show that you run a business or something?
I've just tried fixtureferrets and mysupermarket but Tesco/asda are atil the cheapest *** Matched betting: £422.69 *** :T0 -

You would be amazed how quickly a company will work for good customer relations! Buy a packet of maltesers tomorrow and give them a call explaining you only have just over a week to go. They might be able to pop a few vouchers in the post in time. Good luck with your wedding!

I bought some maltesers from the Co-op yesterday - the boxes which are usually around £1.60 are half price. There were loads left!

If you have a B & M near you, they are doing large tubes of Malteasers for £2.99 so that would work out cheaper than the boxes. Not sure what weight they were though, just noticed them in passing. Good Luck and what a geat idea with the very best choice of chocolates!!!If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................
Why practice!:T0 -
