  • My upper goal is feeling more and more unobtainable today. I'm on 180 but I need 250. Don't seem to be any more surveys about and front page videos keep not crediting and neither is SBTV.

Think this may be the first day I dn't make my second goal but will try again later

I wonder if others find that there are more tasks in a foreign language than in English. On my task page I have 8 English ones and 13 in various other languages. Most frustrating and I do not get the same tasks as my daughter does on her laptop. Does anyone have an explanation as I would have thought that the tasks should have been the same for everyone.

  • Hi I joined Swagbucks a couple of weeks ago after reading about it on this forum but I'm having some real problems and I wondered if I'm doing something wrong. I cannot access the survey dashboard despite having answered the initial questions. (I have just raised an enquiry with Swagbucks for this).

But also I don't seem to be able to access any tasks - I wondered if this was just open to people in the US but I've seen a couple of comments here so assume they can be done in the UK too. I registered with crowdflower but even when I log in I can't see any of the tasks when I click on them - and if I click on link in Crowdflower it tells me I;m not connected to the internet. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Thanks

    Karen

    Hi,

It sounds like the browser you're using is perhaps missing some plugins or has some kind of script blocker. I'm not exactly sure what the Survey Dashboard and Crowdflower uses but I'm going to take a wild guess and say they probably require Javascript.

You could try updating to the latest Java:
    https://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

You can also try updating Flash (I don't think CrowdFlower etc. is Flash-based but worth a shot):
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

If you still have problems your browser may have conflicted Java versions. Recently I tried to help someone who was having a Javascript problem (couldn't click to reveal dropdown lists on eBay's interface), in the end I just uninstalled the browser entirely (allowing it to remove all stored data). Then re-installed a fresh one. After that it was fine.

Also you could check if a tech-savvy family member has installed a browser addon like NoScript etc. which blocks Javascript and such from running. In which case ask if they can set NoScript to allow Swagbucks and Crowdflower to run scripts. If not remove the NoScript or similar add-on.

    Hope this helps.
