Anyone else had problems with !!!!!! on sbtv? Just been watching a yoga video, turn around to do something and come back and there is a disgusting ad on my tablet asking if I want to subscribe to a !!!!!! site, and an example of what you get. Never had this before, tablet is new and have not used it much except for sb. Thanks.

To be honest I'm not sure how installing things on tablets is (I wish I even had one...), but if you also installed stuff from SwagBucks offers onto the tablet, maybe there was some malware included?

I try to use Sandboxie when doing "Install this" offers, it installs it to a partition on my PC and so any addons/malware/etc. are added away from Windows and so are easy to terminate/remove at the click of a button. I notice another site similar to SwagBucks, GiftHulk, actively promotes using Sandboxie even (kinda surprised their advertisers don't mind though heh).

Sadly I found many offers on Swagbucks get stuck at 95% installed and hang there with Sandboxie, some do validate though. Might just be me though. When I used it for a similar website to Swagbucks a couple years back it worked great, so not sure whats changed. I'd rather not install a load of malware on my PC though so if Sandboxie doesn't work I just pass on it.

Not sure if there is something like Sandboxie for tablets though.

Thanks rao. Have not installed anything on there from sb, just been watching the videos. All I have on it at the mo are a couple of games, iplayer and ITV player, a MP3 downloader, a sleep talk app and a maintenance app, all from the google store, so I should think they would be legit?

I've never had a tablet before, but only got one now because I had three years of Tesco vouchers that I doubled up and a £10 off code, so got a Hudl really cheap!

I'm not too familiar with it but doing a quick Google search for "google store malware" it seems there's some chance of malware but I don't know how common it is. :( You could give MalwareBytes on the Google Store a go (I think it's free?), the PC version is good.

I've been using the SBTV a lot, I don't pay much attention to the ads but I don't think I've seen blatant !!!!!!.

Nice! I'm dreaming of getting a Samsung Galaxy someday but thats far off. :rotfl:

EDIT: Just got a survey about credit cards, I said I own one and its a MasterCard. Now its asking me how many credit cards do I own and if I enter 1 it says its invalid and tells me to check repeatedly... what does it even expect lol. :\

Thanks for that, will have a look. My nephew has a Galaxy and I've been hijacking it when I visit, which is why I decided I wanted one, but could not afford it, until the Hudl came out! His is 12 mths plus old and specs are pretty similar and same operating system, so far I'm very pleased with it, except for the !!!!!!, and it definitely was !!!!!! Will check out MalwareBytes.

Have a look for BlueStacks. It's an android emulator that let's you install apps from the play store. I use it for the android offers. I have it running on a virtual machine, but it seems ok on the root OS.

Nice, glad to hear there's something similar for tablets. :)
If I ever get a tablet I'd definitely use that! *dreams* :rotfl:

I should have been clearer, sorry. It isn't for use on a tablet; it emulates a tablet on your pc. I don't like downloading the offers onto my tablets, so I use BlueStacks and do it on my pc.

Ohh I see, thanks for the clarification. That sounds handy, I'll have to check it out! :j
