Mattye's point is valid. If you send the prove-it, and they just continue to request payment, they are in breach of the OFT guidelines. But, depending on what they come up with, you could be in for some sort of dialogue, which may get excessive on a £33 debt.
Personally, I would go down that route. But not everyone enjoys arguing with a DCA as much as I do

I wish I knew about this forum and knew what I know now back when I was in debt! Would've given them a telling off for the way they dealt with me, pressuring me to pay more than I could afford. I stood my ground at the time, but I wasn't aware they were breaching debt collection guidelines. What will your verse be?

That was why I asked if there was anything on credit files regarding this.
If there is say a default that is not yours, wrongly dated, due to an account that was actually paid off etc, then it may well be in your interest to dispute and get that sorted/removed.
If there is nothing on your credit file, then choice of whether to dispute or ignore is more of a preference or judgement call.
As said, not going to go to court for that sum, so if credit file is not harmed then would be a valid choice to just ignore. Many times they are mail bombing people of the same/similar name in the vague hope of a bite.
Or as said again, if letter continue, they somehow get hold of your phone number etc, then you may decide to dispute to put an end to the nonsense.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
