You've been offered some really good advice. I second the SOA, did either of the two agencies advise how long it would take to pay it all off? That might be a good way to judge it, having a debt free date and factor in your extra money coming in.
Don't go bankrupt if it can impact on your job and an IVA will take money from your payments to administer.

Thank you, trying to sort a DMP with Payplan till my situation is clearer. Bankruptcy is just not an option due to my job.

I have now completed my DMP with Payplan (see my sig for details) and would recommend them to you.

After I defaulted on my HBOS CC, they rang me a LOT, and each time I told them I was setting up a DMP with Payplan gave them the Payplan reference number and told them to speak to Payplan.

Once it started officially the calls ended.

I liked Payplan because they set up an online account for you , to which you can send any letters you receive and you can email them.

They also reply to queries promptly.

I`m now DF, and thats where you will be soon.

Step Change also have an online account, you can update balances, send emails etc too.

If i had my time over again, I am not sure which I would choose between Payplan and Step Change as I have had positive help from Step Change and heard positive things about Payplan too.

Ultimately it is who you feel more comfortable dealing with that matters.
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post
