Waterbed

Been looking online at waterbeds to replace my La Romantica Madrid I got around 4 years ago.
Looking for any feedback on brands to look at or avoid or any other comments. No particular budget in mind. Just after a really good sleep

I had a waterbed but I can't remember the brand. I found it really uncomfortable and it gave me back and neck problems. We also had a few leaks over a couple of years which is a nightmare in the middle of the night as your entire bed gets wet and leaves you with nowhere to sleep! I wouldn't recommend one.March prizes: 6 x Crufts tickets, tickets to Wham live! Heck naked sausages, DVD

Although I'm in the bed trade we have never had a waterbed supplier, so sadly I can't say who is the best.
But as far as I know, I might be wrong. But I have a feeling that all the bladders that contain the water come from either Canada or the States. The manufactories here literally just make the bases, ie. attached fabric to chipboard and the sell the whole thing as a bed. I can't really see how they can differ in quality too much.
My first one was an Aquastar and lasted about 8 years before non repairable holes appeared in the bladder.
My current one I don't even know who makes it, I bought it on Ebay and just prayed that all was well with it, 4 years later and all going well.
Feel free to ask any other questions on this wonderful product.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Thanks for responding Pinkypants. I have been to 2 shops locally who supply & install waterbeds. Both commented on the fact that Akva mattresses are problematic with leaks. Basically one recommended aquastar exclusively & the other aquastar & British waterbed company(BWC). The later did comment that BWC is better made, you get what you pay for & that he found the heaters on the aquastar unreliable.0
