Ok
Well I am utterly overjoyed with my growing, Ive come home and overnight it seems my mangetout have started cropping
 For anyone who has even space for a big plant pot, ( balcony for example, if you dont have a garden) I cannot rate growing mange tout enough, piece of cake - quite literally, all I did was stick them in some soil, water stab some sticks in and watched them go mad! Pack of seeds were only 1.35 from B&Q about the same price as a packet from Mr Ts. Ive LOADS left too
Now much as I love Mange tout, I must say I dont buy them often as I have a real aversion to them being shipped from overseas. I dont think they freeze well- do they?
When Ive had them before Ive just either added them in a stirfry, or steamed them off & had with bangers & mash or roast dinners.
thoughts recipes and ideas gratefully recieved!

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Hi, Lynz  My mange tout are in my polytunnel, so we've been eating then for a couple of weeks now. None have got to the cooking stage - I munch on them when I'm in the garden, and pick what's left to go in the daily HG salad.

None of my neighbours seem to be growing much
but Im sure one of them in particular would love a few
Id love a polytunnel PP, but here in the worst garden in britain, it wouldnt be a great use of cash ( east facing heavily shaded!) However i did get a poundland version, but the slugs seem to enjoy it a bit too much in there  :rotfl::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most?
