you touted the passport "amazing" service as something that should adopted by other carriers(bearing in mind its a courier doing the delivery right now)
where in reality its a system in use by many already(or variables of) and offers nothing extra
well except fro the passports that are misdelivered when nobody is home0 -
Back to the OP, we use these labels and since doing so claims have almost stopped.
The main problems were work addresses, flats (particularly new build) and central London, I get the impression there is a lot of stealing of other people's mail going on, parcels taken from pigeon holes, picked up from on top of mail boxes or in communal areas and post going through the wrong door and just being kept.
Hardcore INR claimants will always know these labels are worthless but they often give themselves away in many different ways (and even if not clear we talk with various competitors about which IDs have been claiming INR), the average person tempted might think twice with the label but our hope in using these is that some random git won't nick our customer's parcels.
We checked with the delivery office and revenue protection, both said OK to use, if Royal Mail wish to stop people using these then they need to stop leaving parcels in unsecured areas or through the wrong door.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
