    yup,those are used a lot
if its true about RM following up on these
Im looking at it from 2 sides
they want sellers to pay for legit tracked services or the (fake)tracked labels are slowing down the sorting
I note they ensure they dont follow the RM 2 letter,9 number & country code barcode standard

He says it was more about them slowing down the sorting and causing problems within the systems.
He's been my postman for many many years and I've got to know him well, we always have a chat when he has to knock so I've no reason to disbelieve him.
He wanted to know what was so precious in my packet that warranted the use of fake tracking numbers. The answer? £1.99 nail glue :rotfl:

You were lucky, they should not have paid you out according to their own rules.

true, i wonder if they are starting think that more people are using online postage and their smartstamp system, so they are accepting these receipts.

Even the assistants at my local PO think its daft that even after you printing the postage from the RM site you are suppose to take it to a PO to have it verified.
  • I'm sure more companies in the future will switch over to the passport office's amazing system. The country is divided into areas where they use a courier and areas where tracked delivery is sufficient. I imagine the more rural areas who knows? The courier snaps a photograph of your front door on his scanner, then scans the item delivered to it.

Nope, not talking about that, I had to sign as well, and they get a photo.

The passport service use a system where their operatives can deliver when nobody's home
what would your system do for that?

You are not getting your post verified though, they are giving you a receipt to say they have accepted it.

Otherwise the scammers would have a field day, £150 ipods being sent special delivery, or even £50 memory cards going signed for and all going missing. 'Obviously' they were sent as seller has proof he paid for postage.

Buying postage has nothing at all to do with having a receipt to say post office have received it into their care.
