PS I forgot to say to Quoia - very nice avatar.
I am hoping for a victory v Leicester today as I work in Loughborough and I'm surrounded by Leicester oiks who think they are our local rivals! If we can get promoted this year and F****t relegated it would be fantasy dream land - but Leicester down as well....................bliss!!!!

Isites. So why buy it from a registered UK dealer? Because I got all the original documentation with it - there's no question as to its authenticity.

With an `official` Seamaster if you send (scanned will do) proof to Switzerland they will send you free of charge the original COSC chronometer certificate. A interesting item to go with a nice watch.

    See Here http://www.rolexreferencepage.com/omegacosc/omegacosc.html

    Cheers,

  • I know a guy based in Mayfair (London W1), He is a watch dealer, I can generally get 20% upwards off any high end watch (stainless steel) and 30% upwards on any precious metal high end watch.
  • on this thread,I would advise anybody thinking of buying a quality watch,do NOT deal with a company called Delicious watches/diamonds.They have a good website, but that is far as it goes. They will do nothing but mess you about, not send your watch, not return calls and do anything but what they say they will.I was lucky, I got my money back, but only I think because I was such a pain in the neck and I paid by credit card.NEVER deal with these people.

The best way to get a Rolex or Omega at a good price is to collect Tesco clubcard points and exchange them for 4x face value for Goldsmith vouchers. Then buy your watch there.

I appreciate watches are a very personal thing but personally I've never seen a Rolex yet that I like the style of.

The other thing that would put me off (even if I did see one I liked one day) is that they are universally copied and can be bought off any tall dark chap on any beach in Europe for around €10 all day.

Anybody noticing it on one's wrist will automatically assume it is a fake.

Go for something nice that is not copied.

Seiko do some nice quality watches, especially the Kinetic range. I paid £250 for mine 25 years ago when they first introduced the Kinetics. I've had it serviced once costing £50 by returning it to the factory.

Other than that it's still going strong, I never take it off even on holiday when swimming. I regularly get poeple asking me the time in the water parks so it gets noticed!

Oh, and I've never ever seen a 'lucky lucky' guy with one!

    ;)
