I'm looking for a DVD recorder & would love to know how cheaply you can get these.
Tesco's & Argos have one for around £65, has anyone found anything cheaper than this?

Which has the Sony RDR-GX120 as a BEST BUY.
Excellent picture quality makes this Best Buy Sony model stand out. It’s great for watching a prerecorded movie and delivers great recordings in standard play.
They were not so impressed by the Long Play performance but hey! shop around and you can pick up the multi region version for £81 inc delivery.0 -

Apparently the firmware may need to be upgraded(via cd-r i expect) then you can play files from a pen drive.

Hi,
I've got one of these and you can record from Sky no problem - just put SCART from sky into DVDR, Scart from DVDR into TV. Even better it has RGB passthrough which means that even with the DVD Recorded in standby you get full RGB picture quality from Sky.
I've taped lots of stuff from sky movies for the kids and it works very well.0 -
