lowell consolidate accounts?

Without goin into too much info, I've been very unwell both mentally and physically in the past few years, and ignored the many dca letters landing on the mat. Today I have taken a positive step forward and obtained a free credit report to start sorting out my life.

It shows almost £1000 debt in total from lowell from as far back as 2009, sometimes it's just one defaulted sum of 29 pounds, sometimes it's as much as 500 pounds. My issue is all the account numbers are hidden for security reasons, and in total there's something like 8 different credit agreements with them. How can I consolidate these to pay them off?

Many thanks in advance

    Hi

You don't need to consolidate the existing debts, and there isn't a way to do so.

Are lowell still currently sending you letters? have you kept previous letters from lowell?

The letters from lowell may make it clear which debt they are chasing with each letter. If not then each time you get a new letter from lowell for a different reference/debt then send them the prove it letter template - they should then reply to you with proof of the debt and you will be able to see what it originally related to and consider if it is your debt. Letter when you know nothing about about the debt - AKA "Prove it" letter

You also need to work out how much you can afford towards these debts in total a month.

Then once you have details of all your outstanding debts you can offer monthly repayments to each debt by splitting the total you can afford between the debts.

You could send them a subject access request. That should get all accounts, statements etc.

tixy I've moved a few times and equifax is showing some debts defaulted at previous addresses, I've been a numpty and basically thrown them all in the bin. It's been completely my own doing but I'm worried that in the future I'm leaving nothing but a legacy of debt to my child.. I'll send an SAR request since, as you say, it might encompass all accounts held by them. As soon as I've found out exactly what debt is knocking about, I'm going to draw up a plan of action, maybe list all incomings and outgoings and forward this to debtors.. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Thanks so much for your help guys xx
