Can anyone recommend a brand of vacuum storage bags, I have heard so many mixed reviews about them.

I wish I could, I have had all types from the eeek how much? expensive ones to the cheapies from the pound shop. I have never had one that didn't let air in eventually.

I use the cheap ones to get it small enough to get it in a box and seal the box with gaffer tape to keep it all contained. Don't do too much of it now as it's such a faff. Just got less stuff now :(

I use the ones from Dunelm, their own brand ones. They've always worked well for me.

I had the expensive Space Bags and wasn't impressed. They eventually let air in, or ripped at the seam

I bought Easi-Vac ones from Argos much cheaper and they've been great so far.

Probably best go for the Poundland ones then! :money:

I've had some expensive ones from Lakeland for storing the out-of-season duvets; I think I was able to use them properly for the first winter but by the time I tried to get the summer duvet in and close it again there was already a hole . Now I just use them to keep the dust off, although I do toy with the idea of trying another type.
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

some have a guarantee so they get replaced if anything goes wrong - I found some with a 5 year guarantee on scattysquirrel.co.uk and they've been good

You do realise that you are responding to a thread that is two-and-a-half year old............

However, as I am on this thread I would suggest anyone who is thinking of buying bags from a company called 'originalspacebags' do a search on here first (spacebags).

Lots of reports about them selling on customer details.
