Proof of last 3 addresses?????

Hi there,
We have recently applied to Santander for a mortgage. The process was going smoothly and as expected until our broker informed us that our application had been pulled for audit and that further information was now required. All of the requested information seemed pretty normal, last 3 months bank statements, proof of deposit etc, the one that puzzled us was the request for proof of our last 3 addresses. My partner is in the military so has been based all over the place, do they really want his afghanistan BFPO address? And i have lived in the same house for the past 5 years and before that with my parents. Is it normal for a lender to request this information? If so does anyone know how i can get proof if where i have lived, as i havent kept anything over 5 years old. I can understand them wanting the addresses, just not the proof. They have baffled my brain, please help!!!!

Ask your broker. This is what they are being paid for.
There may be a reason they want the info, it may just be for the sake of it. But your broker needs to go back to them with that info and ask for what they want.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks, we have asked our broker, apparently the lender can not give them this information because of data protection. i am considering contacting them personally to ask myself, can they refuse to tell me?0

Yes they canDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

"do they really want his afghanistan BFPO address? "
Have you / your broker asked the lender this?0 -
Provide the details of where he was based.
The auditors have found a gap in the record. So are merely seeking an explanation.0 -
Go the JPA website and produce your 'move and track' record and get your broker to provide this - should sort out any problems.
If this doesn't work the broker should be taking this to his BDM (indeed possibly at this stage) to question it as Santander have very clear policies with regard flexible/supportive arrangements for military.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
