Nat West Mortgage Help

DH has just had to sign on after loosing his job, I don't work at present either.
I have contacted Nat West as we won't be able to pay the mortgage but they are 'busy with other calls' and I have been told I will be called back today.
They told me they are part of a Government relief scheme but no further details about it. Can anyone enlighten me to what help is any the G'ovt gives those in mortgage issues?
