Hi can anybody tell me how many days it takes from solicitor requesting monies from Halifax to solicitor actually getting the funds? My daughter was hoping to complete this Friday but this afternoon was told solicitor hadn't requested funds yet and that it would take 5 days. Could funds not be requested tomorrow to complete Friday?
Daughter's solicitor also informed Halifax of a possible housing development in the area near to the property she wants to buy, which is currently at appeal stage in London as local council turned it down. He says he needs to check valuation won't be affected! The PROPOSED development would not be in front at the side or behind property as there are developments already in front side and behind,! The proposed development is behind an existing estate! The proposed development would be for executive type houses so I don't see it reducing the valuation fee at all..... Could understand if it were for a factory, landfill etc. Don't understand why he had to tell them.
I will be phoning solicitors tomorrow and would really appreciate your views' experience before I call. I feel sure fund could be requested tomorrow for Friday can't they?
