I just dont get why i still have to go now a payment plan has been worked out!

Often certain lenders still take it to court because then it becomes a formal agreement between them and you and if you then default its one less step for them to take.

As a figure has been agreed then these cases are normally very quick as the clients agent who may attend court normally has been told to ask for the currently monthly installment + whatever you have agreed.
  • Well its fast approaching and im still crapping myself really dont wanna go but no i have to!

Nobody knows that im going booked the day off work as a holiday cant bear to face people and tell them but hate having to lie :(

You must stop worrying - or you will be ill. I was in court facing the Abbey getting my bank charges back (I won) and it wasn't as nerve wracking as I thought. My knees knocked a bit.

Let us know how you get on.

My experience was the same as jarvisma if you are going with a rep from CAB will they be able to go in to the room with you? my advicer came in with me and spoke on my behalf, I said some yes and no's but nothing else. also took about 10 mins, did'nt swear any oaths either.

Hi Well i went yesterday and to be honest it wasnt that bad although i was crapping myself until i came out!

It only took about 5 mins in total and the other guy who was representing the loan company looked about 12 and to be honest didnt really have a clue what he was doing.

The judge has made an arrangement so that i can pay back my arrears in an additional payment to my loan agreement to clear it all. So that was good and i didnt have to say anything or swear on any oaths at all.

Relieved now its over but dont ever want to go back there again i cant say the whole court building or atmosphere was nice.

A few people who came through security after me looked like they had just come off crimewatch!! haha It wasnt pleasant!

Thanks for all your advice people :)
