Can anyone recommend a nail strengthener

After having acrylics and false nails for years I'm finally giving up and would like tog row my own nails.
The problem is they are chipped, flaky and very weak and break all the time. I'm looking for a clear nail strengthener. Does anyone have any recommendations?

My nails have always been thin and I have tried lots of different products without much success, since taking code liver oil supplements my nails have grown nice and strong for the first time.0

Crystal nail file and keep nails short (OPI/Leighton Denny are good)
Nail Envy as per directions in pack or Nailtiques II If you need to wear colour use NE as base coat and refreshing top coat every second day.
Oil to cuticles at every opportunity, cheap and cheerful Almond oil from chemist or Health Food Shop is fine. You cannot do this too many times, some hand models apply it pretty much hourly.
Wear gloves, cotton or rubber/surgical for all household chores.
Cod Liver oil as per AuntieX4
It will take a while, for a new nourished nail to grow through. Good luck:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I agree with this, I used it over the winter when my nails were dry & flaky and it was fantastic. It isn't cheap but it does work.2014 - This is Our Year :j0 -
I totally agree about the nail envy. Only the original or matte though, as the sensitive and peeling one gos very goopy very quickly!
Also with nail envy you need to regularly use hand cream or cuticle oil to kee your nails flexible. Also, massaging it in will stimulate healthy nail growth.
Original nail envy is my second best investment in my nails after my Leighton Denny crystal file. It is about £30 for the two from boots; £23 if they are b1g1hp.0
