Just about to contact lettings agencies

Hi, am about to e-mail 5 lettings agencies about renting my current home out (BTL), am just wondering if there is anything I should be asking (or demanding) up front, such as fee's,
whether they do assured Tenancy Agreements etc.
I dont want to get a lettings agent round for them to come back with large fee's etc etc.
I might put on the e-mail that I am e-mail other agencies and comparing fees.
Any thoughts?

Fees along with the service they will provide are base entry discussion points.

Personally I would visit them on site at their premises to assess them better.

Check and see if the Letting agents are registered with any of the professional bodies such as ARLA
Ask for a copy of the terms and conditions and read them very carefully before signing anything ( maybe see a solicitor)

Also ask what fees they charge prospective tenants (e.g. referencing fees, tenancy renewal, etc) as that might give you an idea of just how money-grasping they are!
