A few weeks ago i got this tweet from someone :
Hi please dont Retweet my Tweets but the original as it will make BOTH our entrys invalid!!
Is this true. If so I have no chance as people have started retweeting my tweets rather than the original.

Yes it's true, if someone @ your username in their tweet it is invalid so far as I know.MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

you may be able to block them:

If you copy and paste your tweets and someone is retweeting this then yes it's invalid (personally I'd send a polite message then block them if it carries on)
If you retweet the original post and someone retweets this then no you are still both entered as it just shows as if they retweeted the original despite you getting a notification for it
