One last month....

As a teacher, every September my wages go up to the next pay point. As I have been teaching for 7 years, mine goes to the upper pay scale. It does mean I have to work harder as it's now all based on performance, but it does mean an extra 3k a year to play with.
This is, hopefully, my last month of owing to any of the loans companies. I am skint right now, and on a budge of 10-15 a week until get paid on the 24th of September. But it's so worth it.
I have spent the day shredding old bank statements and letters and bills from over 10 years ago. I've read through them carefully, and seen how easily I slipped into the trap.
I know this year my partner lost his job, and his mum became very ill and he had to travel to the States at times to be with her. But this wasn't my toughest year.
This, however, has been the only year, where I have been determined to wipe my slate clean completely. It feels fantastic.

If all else fails, buy a new pair of shoes.
