Hi everyone
I want to get a bed and mattress for my mom who suffers from bad back pain and she spends a lot of time in bed. I heard good things from pocket spring mattress so I'm considering getting one for her.
What do you think of mattress from warren evans, argos, homebase and John lewis?
My budget is probaby around £500 max for the mattress and £200 for the bed.
Please offer any help you can.
Thanks

Warren Evans don't know enough about them but expect them to be dear.
Argos and homebase are owned by same company, although on paper the mattresses look ok, they do tend to despec (downgrade) the quality to hit prices points.
John Lewis won't sell rubbish, but not the best value for money in the world.
If it has to be 1 of those 4, I'd actually plump for Argos as they will be best value for money. Just make sure that you get one in their so called "sale" as I've recently seen some mattresses on their at well above the proper selling price. I'd assume so they can be in the next "sale".
Is your mum able to try any herself before you buy? If you have a local independent bed/mattress shop nearby I'd try them 1st if possible.
Yes pocket springs are the way forward 1000 springs or more. With or without memory foam or latex.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Thanks for the advise. I went to Warren Evans yesterday to try their sienna pocket sprung mattress after hearing so many good reviews for it.
I'm glad I went to try it because I was really close to buying it without trying it out. The mattress was a big disappointment, it was so soft and saggy and it only has 925 pocket sprung there is no way that its worth £445. But they had beautiful beds expensive but very nice.
I have never spent more than £250 on a mattress and to be honest we can not afford to spend a lot of money on it.
But I'm willing to spend extra because my mom really needs a decent mattress to ease her back pain which was made worse by her current mattress. But like you said I really want to get value for money.
Is there a pocket sprung mattress you could recommend from argos?also is it better to get ones with memory foam or latex?
Thanks alot for your help0 -
