Tracking down CCJs

Hi all,
I've been looking into my credit and found I have 2 unsettled CCJs, a few years back I got myself into a real mess and thought most things were sorted (at least I don't get letters etc regarding it these days).
I have been solely using Experian to keep an eye on things and although 10 accounts show 'default' my outstanding debt is listed as £0.
Experian shows no CCJs but trustonline.org.uk revealed 2 that I was unaware of. Now it's likely they contacted me but being a real idiot I stopped reading post (it was getting depressing as I could barely pay for the essentials).
So I have 2 CCJs on the report from NORTHAMPTON CCBC but have no idea who I actually need to pay to settle these. It doesn't list a creditor and I've done some searching but haven't found anything useful.
I assume paying these will eventually help my credit score?
They are dated 29/09/10 and 10/05/11, I wasn't sure if to just ignore them until the 6 years passed but I'm in a more stable place financially now so if it helps my record then I would like to pay them off.

Hi there,
If the CCJs aren't showing up on your credit report, then it's unlikely that paying them would have any effect. Have you checked your equifax and noddle reports? If not do that immediately and see what they say.
I've never heard of trustonline - are you 100% sure that those CCJs refer to you? I would have thought they'd show up on all your credit files to be honest.Fritterati Challenge for 2013:

I haven't checked them yet (I don't have a cheque book to send a £2 cheque to each and don't really want to sign up for the monthly reports from each). I may need to speak to my bank to see if they'll provide me with a cheque book.
I came across the trustonline site when researching CCJs - I knew it was a possibility that I had one and many people referred to this site for me to check so I think it is legitimate.0 -
Trustonline is The Registry Trust. This is the central register for ccjs and similar. The credit reference agencies get their information from them. So your Experian report is incomplete in some way - maybe you missed out a previous address or an alias.
Never mind.
If you want to find out who got the ccjs against you, you should contact the court, quote the court reference and they will tell you.0 -
The address registered on the CCJ and Experian is my current address and I only have one name, it's odd.
I'll try contacting the court, hopefully they'll respond to email. Thanks!0 -
Noddle is free to sign up to.
Equifax should take a postal order, or card if you have one. You can view them both online.:beer:0 -
Registry Trust is your primary contact point. The courts are now rarely disclosing any details of historical actions, and after 12 weeks hold no information (the paperwork being returned to the Pursuers) at the conclusion. Only criminal cases are retained.0

Yes, expect it to take a couple of weeks - If it's Northampton use
ccbcdefendants@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk
I do this all the time for clients at the CAB0 -

Thanks, I emailed them yesterday. I guess this has been on my record a few years so a few weeks isn't going to make a massive difference!
Will me paying the CCJs make it come up fresh on my record? I don't want to hinder my record by trying to fix it0 -

It shouldn't make any difference to the record of the ccj - that stays for six years from the date of judgement.
Whether the actual debts are also showing, we'll have to wait and see.0
