Help wanted for Kodak 'Easyshare' software

HELP!
Following various other threads on this site, we bought our daughter a Kodak camera and installed the Kodak Easyshare software. We are running Windows XP Professional SP2. Now, when we log in, a message comes up and says that you must be logged in as an adminstrator to use the Easyshare software. I managed to upload her photos to the shared documents folder from the administrator account but they still cannot be viewed by her using existing viewing software. We, obviously, do not want to grant her adminstrative privileges!
I don't mind uploading her photos from the adminstrator's account but it seems ridiculous that she cannot even view them in her account even though they are in the shared documents folder. Is there something simple that we can do to get over this? If they are stored as jpegs, what is causing the privacy issue?
What would happen if we emailed the pictures for someone else to view?
Can I remove the Easyshare software and use anything else to upload her photos to the PC in a non-adminstrators account?
It looks like 'Easyshare' is the complete opposite of what the truth is.
Any advice appreciated.

Windows XP has the Scanner and Camera wizard built-in to upload pictures.
:j
When you plug in the camera, XP should recognise the model and scan to see how many photos are available for upload.0 -
I started off using the so called Easy Share software and found it a load of rubbish. I unistalled and now just use the inbuilt scanner and camera wizard. You can't con an honest man!0

I agree too, spent hours trying to make easyshare work on a friends PC.
I'd recommend using Picasa, its good for downloading, organising and tweaking and of course free. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Easyshare is a bad joke.
You should find that the memory card appears in Windows Explorer as an extra disk drive. Just navigate in explorer to the images, then copy them to your PC, like any other file type.0 -
Thanks for all replies. A query to Kodak confirmed that all users must have administrative rights to use Easyshare s/w. I would say it is a pretty crazy decision on their part, especially if it is to promote easy sharing! Surely it is up to a computer's administrator to decide who has which rights?
Anyway, have successfully removed the inaptly named Easyshare s/w and can now upload daughter's photos using scanner and camera wizard. That is fine for what she needs. Had a bit of trouble letting her view her own photos that were initially uploaded via Easyshare until I edited using another package and resaved them. Let it be a warning to anyone else that buys a Kodak camera.
