Getting account numbers

Hi I am about to clean up me and my wifes credit files but we do not have the full account numbers for any of our accounts just the last 4 numbers which are displayed on our credit reports.
When I send off my letters to the various credit agencies will need the account numbers or just details of my addresses where the credit was taken from.
Or as I suspect I will need the account numbers where can I get them from.

did you keep your bankruptcy paperwork?? can be on that

OR you could contact your receivers office and see if they can help...in the end I rang the court I petitioned at they sent me photocopy of bankruptcy paperwork I submitted

they will be on your credit report, cheap enough to get one, or normally free trails online for the online credit reports.

I don't have mine either ( we just put on bankruptcy forms name of bank name of account number not known ) - shall I get a copy of my report now or wait until discharged next July ?

don't tell anyone but I didn't either, I couldn't face ringing them up for them as they also wanted closing balances, so on the forms, the ones I knew I added, those I didn't I put something daft like their phone number or my account number, not really advised but I really couldn't face ringing them.

Never heard anything more about it, I guess the OR will source all that stuff their own way, they have the means to do it very easily I expect, they probably go off your credit report anyway.

So I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Same here. We just guessed at the amounts as other alf had been shredding bills and letters, unopened, for years and I was too stressed to contact them ( plus CAB said guess (step changed said call them ))

missed your question, you might as well wait as they can mark an account as settle right up to your discharge or even some do it after or have to be told to do it, so wait till discharge then you can get a copy of all 3 reports and start the joys of your credit file clean up.

Thanks sniggings.

I will no doubt research nearer the time how to clean them up etc but at present it is baby steps and still terrified of answering phone and mail deliveries
