A fine summer's evening, although there's a nip in the air - autumn is on the horizon. Ennessdee Towers stands bathed in evening sunlight, the great front door as always open to one and all.

A giant sledge pulls up, drawn by a team of big, weird-looking dogs. Out climb two figures - one swathed in a sumptuous velvet cloak and laden with fabulous jewels, the other a small, slightly-lopsided figure in a butcher's apron and wellies. (That's it, just apron and wellies.) The grander of the two figures strides into the entrance hall, while the smaller figure lugs in a battered old case full of shiny sharp chefs' knives (for shiny, sharp chefs?) and a rucksack full of his prized recipe book collection, including that amazing work "Hot Wok Cooking with Fanny Craddock".

On the list of participants for September's NSD challenge another name and target are added - Nargleblast 10 NSDs

Ok, Igor, where is Boris? You left him in charge when we went on our holibobs, so where is he? There is a foul-smelling pan of gunk on the stove masquerading as soup, he's left his socks in the chamber pot full of sprout curry under your bed, and Hubert the donkey is missing.....and come to think of it, the NSD gang are all missing, too......WHERE IS EVERYBODEEEEEE????

    Hi Everyone,

I would love to join. This will be my first official challenge! I've done the NSD thing before when saving for our wedding and it really helped so now that I'm 100% committed to debt busting I want to start this again.

Please can you put me down for 10 NSDs for my first attempt. I'm going to find an old notebook that I must have somewhere to write everything down. I'm only including non-essential spends. So as long as I stay in my grocery budget, petrol budget, etc. these costs won't count. It's the stupid little extras that I need to cut back on.

Anyhoo.... fingers crossed for a great month!!
