Does anyone know at what point to CSA stop negotiating with an NRP for payment and what action are they likely to take next?
NRP has refused to pay CM for over 10 years. He was finally taken to court last year and since then the CSA have been trying to 'persuade' him to pay. He can well afford it and has not hidden his self employed earnings from the CSA but he is simply refusing to pay.
When will the CSA take his backside back to court or commence some other kind of action?

You need to jump up and down and start making complaints if you feel that they have tried persuading for too long. In my experience (both as a PWC and as a staff member) it is the only way to get things moving! My case took 8 years and I honestly thought that he would get away with it as they just kept allowing him to run rings around them - but I complained lots, including through ICE and the Parliamentary Ombudsman about the unnecessary delays and eventually they applied for a committal order, which ended with him remortgaging his house to pay all his arrears. Good luck.0

How long is too long then as I've been waiting a couple of years and starting to think that that's a joke but obviously this can easily stretch to nearly a decade0

How much does he owe in arrears? If he was positively assessed but has never paid a bean he should have been up for committal by now.
Does he have a salary. house, car or savings they can go after?0 -
Thanks for the replies.
I was asking out if curiosity. This man is my ex. I fought for 18 months for him to pay CM for our child but he also has a case for a child that is now around 18 years old.
He was taken to court for both me and the other Mother but I have found out he is still refusing to pay for the other child (older than mine). He is toying with the CSA.
I know about this because even though everything is smooth with my case now, I do get the occasional call from the Complex Case Officer for whatever reason and she hints on what is going on.
I just think it's disgusting.
He is in a well paying job, has a house he is renting and another he is living in and plenty of savings.Dave Ramsey Fan[/COLOR]0
