Last summer I found a pair of Police aviator sunglasses I really liked - £130 at Optical Express.

I found a website http://www.sunglassesuk.com at which they were just £85. I emailed them asking if they did student discount and they gave me a further 10% off my order.

I would definitely give them a try - they have a huge selection. :)

Wow, that is cheap, £70 for a pair of sunglasses, bargain of the year I would say..

I would say £70 is a good deal on a pair of sunglasses that normally cost £150 if that is the pair you are sure you want and you can afford them. I realise not everyone on this site can afford to pay £70 for sunglasses or would want to, having other priorities but kr15snw obviously got a good deal and was happy so why the rolling eyes smilie? This site is all about money saving in many different ways - there are threads on this site about where to find a large flat screen telly for under £600 or whatever. I personally wouldn't spend more than £150 on a telly but I wouldn't dream of posting on those threads to say "wow, that is cheap, £550 for a tv  "

Yes, TK Maxx for me too. Last year I got a Cerruti pair for £12 and a Cavalli pair for £20, with cases.
