Mortgage/ equity release for holiday home adroad?

Is there anyone on here who could give me some advice in regards to this matter?
We are in the very early stages of looking at buying a holiday home. We know which country, area, and have an idea of price we would *like*
We would like an idea if our income and financial position would enable us to look into it further.
Would rather an informal chat online than going to visit an advisor to start with
Thanks :)

Releasing equity for a holiday is fine in the main.

Subject to your income, credit history etc all fitting.
Generally speaking, you can borrow upto around 4x your income - although that may be less depending on the term and your current financial commitments etc.

    Thank you :)
I am just going to message you, seeing as I am going to put financial details in it i will do it by private message.
Don't worry I won't bombard you, just looking for an opinion really. I would like to look at things realistically.

You are effectively anonymous on this site (unless your username is your real name?) in which case what does it matter if you post up financial details? No-one will be able to trace it back to the real world you.
