Presumably you are paying a large(ish) amount each month?

if you pay anything above 1% of your balance they re-start interest at my recent review CAB increased my payments offer to Barclaycard meaning i I paid £3 more a month with interest of nearly £5 a month added

When I was on my DMP, Barclaycard did charge interest but not as much as I would have been paying if I wasn't on a DMP. I do appreciate it's a pain but they were difficult to deal with in terms of my DMP so I gave up trying to negotiate with them in the end and just took the hit. They were a bit of a bug bear though and I would have been debt free sooner if it wasn't for them.

    Good luck.

Same here, I tried everything. They are just totally intransigent! Breach that 1% limit and that's it, interest will be charged.

I think it's probably wiser to pay as little as possible into a DMP and if you have surplus, save it up for F+F offers. The more you pay, the more they seem to think they can keep you in debt.

Make sure you get it in writing and check the wording carefully. You don't want them to say its F&F over the phone then not set the balance to zero on your credit file and sell it on. This is useful:

Start lower than 40%, maybe 20-25
