Can a CCJ be obtained for any value of debt owed or is there a set figure? I was always under the impression it was £750 minimum but i had a recent letter from Lowell's and they've threatened to get a CCJ on my £289 debt

No minimum.
I've seen commercial creditors obtain CCJs for debts as little as a bit over £100 (such as mobile phone companies)A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
£750 is the amount of money you need to owe, at least, for someone to petition for your bankruptcy. What will your verse be?

I would be very surprised if they applied for a ccj for £2890
