Advice please on DCA for PDL (MME)

Hi guys, hope you can help me.
I've been in a DMP for about 8 months, and have temporarily reduced my payments after a recent review due to a drop in income whilst on Mat leave.
I had a letter through the door from the above DCA (who I think are working for Quick Quid) saying if I didn't call them immediately they will be sending a 'home visitor' to my property unannounced.
I called them and they said my record was alright and that I had filtered through to their 'home team' in error. Then I received a voicemail the following day saying to contact them on this number to avoid an un-announced door-step visit. I phoned them again and the same person said 'yes, I spoke to you yesterday, it's a fault.' Today I've had ANOTHER phone call. It was automated this time and connected me through o the same guy. I said to him I was getting really frustrated and he said it wasn't his problem, he'll make a note but nobody will come out. Then said 'goodbye' and hung up!
I'm really worried that they will show up though. The messages say 'to avoid a potentially highly embarrassing unannounced visit' - does that suggest they intend to humiliate me??
I just want to continue as I am but I'm worried that this guy's instance the home visit won't happen is false. I know I'm the debtor but can they behave like this? Do you think it is just a system error? And finally, is it because my review reduced their payments?

Could just be a system error.
For peace of mind you might want to send them the template letter revoking their right to visit you at home - see this letter within post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=61545571&postcount=5A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Oh wow thank you, I didn't realise you could do that.
I will definitely send that in and do so recorded delivery.
That will ease my worry.0 -
TBH debt collectors rarely visit anyway and if they did turn up they aren't allowed to make a fuss and "embarrass" you. If you have the time I think I would be sending a complaint to the OFT about their wording.
If they turn up (unlikely) simply inform them that you already have an arrangement and have been told the visit should have been cancelled and tell them to leave. They have no more rights than the milkman or a leaflet pusher though they like to style themselves as being "like" baliffs.
If you are worried about speaking to them do a second copy of the letter above with a note about what has happened-phone calls/DMP and keep it by the front door. IF they turned up hand them the letter and say "please leave" then shut the door.

Thank you for that, it's so hard to know what is real and what is them trying it on. They've got the upper hand you know?
I will definitely be doing that, another good bit of advice.0
