Grrrrrr  why does it have to take sooooo long. I need to add a bag to check in... Only booked one luggage (for mum) as I travel light and thought I could do carry on. turns out carry on is 10kg so maybe not possible
check in luggage is 15kg and I'm being quoted £45 each way plus £30 admin fee with on the beach. Ryan air are looking at £70-80 pus CC charges etc. poop. Anyone have cheap ideas??!
Might be too late a reply but why not just take 2 carry on cases?
Use your carry on case and get large vanity bag to slip over handle. Just leave enough space to put small handbag in and transfer toiletries to your mums case.
After all your mum is allowed 10kg carry on too. If you are lucky at boarding they might allow you to put in hold for free as they always end up with too many cabin bags.
At ryan air baggage costs you could buy yourself a lovely carry
on case with handbaggage bag to slip over the handle.
Last time I went away with grown up kids for sons 21st we had one hold bag for toiletries and electricals and all used carry on. Mind you last year when I went to florida step dad hates waiting for luggage other end so limited us to one case as they wanted to buy one over there. I ended up with clothes I travelled in, a dress and a jumpsuit and extra bra and pants. As we had washing machine it was enough although mum had to do serious shopping with me to make up for it.
First stage of 'operation dad' completed and got to spend a couple of hours with dgd. 300 miles down, only 380 to go:eek:

It's more mls as well - 250ml vs 175ml.:) Sorry for my tenacious refusenik approach to MSE'ing.0

Evening all :hello:
Just trying to catch up on the 3 for £5 late to the party!
So it's any 2 things in the offer and the toothbrushes (I'm yet to scroll through and find which one! Oral B something!)0 -
Bloody hell. How do you do it LADY PATTY? What if you are about to pick up one and a mos walks over? Do you just do it anyway? What if someone you know sees you and it's obvious you are picking someone else's up? LOL.
Och I am well past caring about all that mimi. I probably have been spotted in the past by people but sure to hell with them - it is an innocent pursuit compared to some of the things you read about in the newspapers:rotfl::rotfl:never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
zippydooda wrote: »savvy im not going now you quoted just as I edited. but there is over 300 other items you can choose from
Zippy have you still not got loads of that shaving gel left that we got for the CC points?? I found a stash of it the other week  I am now using that instead of my usual ladies stuff:rotfl::rotfl:

Receipt awaiting entry in the next [Strike]half hour[/Strike] few minutes or so - we'll find out if it's been a good mbuy glitch day (way too late to be of any use I suspect:() - they have a total of eight different mbuys on the receipt and still managed to spend over £100!:rotfl: I bet they'll doubtless work out much cheaper than elsewhere - ah well, at least I can be sure they bought 8 different items this time!:rotfl:
First receipt of the trip back from A - I noticed it had some £5 skin care on it - bound to be on offer somewhere else. It was about an item longer than my nine-item shop. However, every item I bought was different - 5 different Mullers, why don't they learn & mix & match??:rotfl::rotfl::D They had some lightbulbs and a newspaper - so total of 7:( different items, failed at the first hurdle!
I did enter the number into the APG site just in case. But no luck. It had some £4 Finish on it too and I was trying to work out (from msm.co.uk) which one they'd bought. Seems there's one on msm for £4 in A which says T £12:eek:. So wouldn't have been any luck anyway if the skincare had been cheaper in T.
It's this that I notice on msm:
Finish Quantum Powerball Dishwasher Tablets (30)
T £12.00 A £4.00
These do go down to £3.75 elsewhere though.
This would have been very very helpful if you have a cond.spend for T and need dishwasher stuff. That suggests it would be a sizeable chunk of the £10 PP allowance used up, but quite a lot of help to spending. Shame they abandoned DTD on the Price Check. It's the regular one though - don't get lemon as that is £12 in A (or any other version).
However...:( I can't see any 30 Quantum product on a.com for £4. There's a 20 pack at £4 (r'back) and a £4 pack of 10 tablets. Wondering if this is a mistake on msm - can anyone see the above product on a.com for £4?0 -
zippydooda wrote: »if you confirm this to be the trigger, [STRIKE]I don't mind testing an early shop tomorrow[/STRIKE] sorry the item I wanted does not compare:(. also can you tell me the time of this shop please.
so this works out as 3 for 78p. im sure ill be corrected in a momentI did a shop myself too and the toothbrushes are definitely a trigger. Works out 1 pack toothbrushes and 2 gillette gels for 80p.0 -
